Patiënten beschermen met data
Het COVID EWS werkt met een algoritme dat voorspelt welke patiënten hoog risico lopen op ernstig ziekteverloop en ziekenhuisopnamen in geval van besmetting met COVID. De ontwikkeling en validatie van het algoritme is eind 2021 gepubliceerd in het prestigieuze British Medical Journal Open.
Samenwerkende wetenschappers
De studie over de ontwikkeling en validatie van het voorspellend algoritme in de eerstelijnszorg is een gezamenlijk uitkomst van wetenschappers van Amsterdam UMC, Leiden UMC, Radboud UMC, STIZON, PHARMO, St. Health Base, Julius Centre onder leiding van de onderzoeksgroep van prof. dr. R. Herings en vele andere contributers*.
